I had a friend in high school named Greg - I’ll withhold his last name so he doesn’t sue us for slander or something - and Greg decided one day to take a calligraphy course. I thought he was somewhat bonkers and yeah he is bonkers, but secretly deep down I too yearned to learn calligraphy-let’s just say girls weren’t exactly knocking my door down and somewhere in my monkey brain I though calligraphy would be a huge selling point.. Anyway, I didn’t end up studying it, but it is truly a lost art and comes in handy when writing Christmas cards if you want to look pretentious to your friends and family. Sometimes they have to be reminded that we’re better than them and the annual Christmas card is a huge flex for we here at Prestigious School. Who doesn’t love that family member who writes a novel in their Christmas cards about various “updates” on how the year was spent?! I need more of that in my life!
